Sebastian de Atucha
Sebastian is an experienced entrepreneur and brings his varied background and passion for sustainability to Soltura Energy Capital. Sebastian has been a high school teacher and coach, a business strategy consultant, and is now a committed entrepreneur.
Sebastian’s most recent venture was a green building startup, 3BY-Sustainable Homes. 3BY developed and successfully sold one of the first LEED-certified homes in the Denver area.
Prior to 3BY, Sebastian served as COO and Co-Founder of Unexplored.com a San Francisco-based, venture-backed internet travel software company that grew to over 50 employees in 3 locations.
At KPMG Consulting, Sebastian was a consultant in their telecommunications strategy practice and worked with major telecom companies — including Bell South, Pacific Bell Wireless, Air Touch Communications (now Verizon Wireless), TCG (acquired by AT&T) — to assist in the analysis and implementation of major information technology or marketing initiatives.
Sebastian is involved in various community and non-profit activities, including serving as Treasurer of the US Green Building Council – Colorado and of Archbold Biological Station in Lake Placid, FL, and, currently, on the Board of the John Austin Cheley Foundation.
Sebastian has an AB from Dartmouth College and an MS in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University.
